We are (IAOR) the Iraqi Division of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR), the organization committed to advancing oral health worldwide. The IAOR was established in 2010 by founder members including Dr. Anwar R Tappuni who remains the first president in the current Council.

Our logo celebrates our Iraqi history. It is the symbol for “mouth” in the most ancient written language known to man, Sumerian. This language was spoken in southern Mesopotamia (modern Iraq) since the 4th millennium BC.
